In 2014, Buckner began his career with DHR as a researcher working with the Private Equity, Corporate Affairs and Communications, and Industrial practices before being promoted into a talent acquisition role.
With a data-driven approach to process improvement and expansion, Buckner focuses on talent strategy, onboarding, and succession planning for the organization globally. He works with senior leadership to understand key industry trends to add complementary revenue producers to DHR’s platform. To develop efficient, effective, and creative talent strategies, he takes a thoughtful, innovative, and targeted approach. He also assists private equity-backed clients in recruiting emerging leader level talent across corporate functions.
Buckner holds an MBA, with concentration in Leadership and Strategy, from Wake Forest University, and Bachelor of Science degrees in Economics and International Studies from the University of South Carolina. Hospitality and customer service are integral parts of Buckner’s foundation, having been raised in and currently serving as an advisor and consultant for a Charlotte-based restaurant business owned and operated by his family.
