Bob Baker is a partner in the firm’s Atlanta office and is active in Consumer, Private Equity and Diversity practice areas.
Bob has more than 30 years of experience in marketing and general management in the Consumer Package Goods and Professional Services areas. He has expertise in strategic planning, marketing and human resources. Prior to executive search, Bob was president of Puroast Low Acid Coffee, a new, innovative coffee product.
Previously, Bob was vice president of market strategy for Con Agra Foods, the maker of Healthy Choice, Chef Boyardee, Banquet, Butterball and many other well-known food brands. Prior to Con Agra, Bob was vice president of strategic planning for Dean Foods, the country’s leading dairy company. Bob was also vice president of marketing for the Kraft Dairy Division, managing several leading brands including Breyers and Sealtest Ice Creams, Breyers Yogurt and Breakstone’s Sour Cream and Cottage Cheese. Bob began his career at Procter & Gamble in the Paper Division, managing the Bounty, Puffs and Charmin brands during his tenure.
Bob is currently a director on the Board of State Auto Insurance Company. He has previously served on the Boards of several other publicly-traded companies, including CoolBrands, Inc., an ice cream company; Natural Golf, a golf club manufacturer and golf training company and Calgene, Inc., a genetic engineering company that was acquired by Monsanto.
Bob is currently on the Carter Center Board of Councilors in Atlanta. Bob has also served on the boards of several non-profit organizations, including the Omaha Boys and Girls Club and the Cincinnati United Way.
A native of Cedartown, Georgia, Bob was a Captain in the U.S. Air Force. Bob has a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Tuskegee University and an MBA in Marketing from Columbia University in New York.
Bob and his wife, Clarissa, live in Atlanta. They have two daughters.
