Geoff Hoffmann

Geoff Hoffmann joined DHR in 1999 and was promoted to the role of Chief Executive Officer in 2012. In his current role, he is responsible for directing all functions and operations of the business. Previously he was the Chief Operating Officer. In this capacity he oversaw all corporate marketing, public relations, internal recruiting, research and strategic planning globally.
Before that, as Executive Vice President of Strategy, Geoff oversaw the creation of all the firm’s global offices and was accountable for the development and growth of new locations. During his tenure, the firm began its global expansion and subsequently established offices in 13 countries with additional openings to follow.
Prior to this role, Geoff had been an integral part of the growth and operating processes of DHR and assisted in the development of extensive global recruiting and operating procedures. Additionally, he led the firm’s new marketing and branding strategy to reflect the firm’s global presence. He began his career at DHR as an Associate in the research department executing senior-level searches in a variety of industries and functions, including professional services, life sciences and financial services.
Geoff serves on the boards of DHR, JDRF Illinois and Edgewood Properties, a privately held commercial real estate investment firm, and is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization and The Economic Club of Chicago. He has been featured and quoted in numerous business publications and made multiple appearances on WSJ Live, Reuters, CBS Market Watch, Bloomberg, CNBC and Fox Business News.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Miami University and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He lives in Winnetka, Illinois with his wife and their four sons.
