Lorenz Pestinger

Executive Vice President, Finance & Strategy

Serving as corporate Executive Vice President, Finance & Strategy, Lorenz is based in DHR’s global headquarters in Chicago.

Since 2011, Lorenz has held several managerial positions in the areas of Corporate Development & Strategy, Research & Operations, Talent Acquisition and Marketing. He returned to Chicago after spending more than five years abroad in the company’s regional headquarters in Europe and Asia Pacific.

While in Hong Kong, Lorenz first served as Vice President, Asia Pacific Talent Acquisition and later as Vice President, Asia Pacific Research & Operations. In the latter position, he managed DHR’s research department consisting of 25 team members across nine international offices. In addition, Lorenz was in charge of the marketing function and continued to have oversight of talent acquisition.

In Europe, Lorenz served as Director, European Talent Acquisition. In addition to driving growth through talent acquisition, he acted as the Head of European Research supporting the Vice President of Global Research with the day-to-day management of the research and intern staff across DHR’s five regional offices. Lorenz first joined DHR as an associate in the firm’s Chicago office.

Lorenz earned a Master of Business degree in Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Finance, and Strategic Management from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He graduated summa cum laude in Business Administration and Marketing (double major) from Lewis University. While attending Lewis University, Lorenz was named captain of the university’s varsity tennis team and was honored by Capital One as one of the members of the All-America Men’s At-Large Team for his outstanding academic and athletic performance. Fluent in English and German, Lorenz also has intermediate knowledge of French and Spanish.
