Steve Godwin

Steve serves as a Partner for DHR. With over 20 years of experience, he specializes in serving middle market, private equity-owned businesses.

Steve typically executes C-suite searches, often working with founder-led businesses that have received their first or second round of institutional capital. His private equity clients span the United States, with portfolio companies in the industrial, business services and healthcare industries. He has been named a Top Producer with DHR each year since 2016.

Prior to joining DHR in 2014, Steve founded and managed his own boutique retained search firm in Atlanta. Prior to that he worked for Norman Broadbent International, a U.K.-based search firm, for seven years, serving as Senior Vice President of its North American Practice.

Steve began his career with telecommunications service provider Cable & Wireless, PLC, where he was employed from 1989 to 1997, ultimately serving as Director of the company’s carrier and third-party distribution business. A graduate of Davidson College, Steve is married with two daughters and lives in Charlotte, N.C.
