David Merwin serves as a partner in the firm’s Boston office where he conducts senior-level searches in the Professional Services, Technology, Life Sciences, Healthcare, and Private Equity sectors.
Bringing more than 18 years of search experience to his clients, David is focused on identifying key functional or industry leaders who represent critical near and longer term talent for their new organizations.
Prior to DHR, David was a partner and founding member of the Professional Services and TMT practices at CTPartners and its predecessor firm Christian &Timbers. His client base includes a range of firms in systems integration, BPO, ITO, IT services and management consulting. Placing executives into partner, managing director, principal and practice leader positions, a number of these assignments have been for sales, industry or geography leaders. David’s TMT clients have included Fortune 1000 companies in networking, software, communications and converged infrastructure. Focused on C-suite talent or their direct reports, David’s work has centered on core functions such as sales, marketing and engineering.
As a member of the Advanced Technology Practice at DHR, David will continue to build IT teams for clients across a number of industries including life sciences. Conducting searches for both fast growing and more established companies, he has completed CIO and CTO assignments along with those for VP’s of R&D, sales and marketing, infrastructure and corporate functions.
David’s corporate career includes several positions in sales and sales management with companies such as Koppers and Newell Rubbermaid. After receiving his undergraduate degree from Syracuse University, David earned his MBA from Butler University.
