Rod serves as Managing Partner of the Canadian Consumer Practice. He has over 25 years of experience in sales, marketing and general management with major international corporations.
In addition to his experience working with consumer goods & services, retail and hospitality companies, Rod’s global search practice includes experience in the industrial, real estate and private equity industries. Prior to joining DHR, he was a Managing Director in the Toronto office of a global executive search firm. Previously, he had been the Managing Partner of the Canadian Consumer and Retail Practice at a leading talent advisory firm.
Rod began his career with Procter & Gamble and then spent over 10 years with Pepsi-Cola International in Canada, Asia and the U.S. where he served as Vice President, Cola Marketing. In 1988 he moved into the financial services sector and later returned to consumer services when he accepted the role of President of KFC.
Rod is the Chairman of Hospice Palliative Care of Ontario and serves on the board of directors of the Special Olympics Festival. Previously, he was on the board of directors of Forterra Inc., Chairman of the Board of Governors for Sterling Hall School and Chairman of the Upper Canada College Rowing Program. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario and has completed an executive development program in financial management from Columbia University. He is married with three children.
