Martin Nass serves as managing partner and global leader of the Real Estate Practice and is based out of the firm’s New York office.
Prior to joining DHR International, Marty was a partner and the leader of the Global Real Estate Practice of CTPartners. With more than 30 years of real estate and mortgage banking experience, Marty quickly identifies strategic talent capable of seizing opportunities that contribute to clients’ profitable growth.
In addition to his management responsibilities, Marty maintains an active search practice. Having earned the trust and confidence of long standing clients, Marty has earned the de facto title “Of Counsel”, or “Trusted Advisor” to many clients who seek his guidance with regard to talent acquisition and talent management.
As one of the few truly global real estate search professionals, he continuously executes searches for clients in the U.S., Europe, Australia, Asia, China and Latin America. Having successfully completed over 90% of the more than 600 searches he has executed, clients include prominent REIT’s, private equity real estate companies, public and private operating companies, asset management companies, advisory, development, construction and pension fund companies.
With a long and deep history in the executive search industry, Marty has served in senior management roles as managing vice president and senior partner of Korn Ferry International’s Global Real Estate Practice and managing partner of Heidrick & Struggle’s Global Real Estate Practice.
Marty is a frequent speaker at major industry events. He is an active member of The Real Estate Roundtable, the Zell-Lurie Real Estate Center, Pension Real Estate Association and the National Association of Real Estate Trusts. He sits on the real estate Board of Directors for the University of Florida.
Having earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Florida, Marty later served as a Naval Aviator in the U.S. Naval Air Corps, and while having attained the rank of Lieutenant Commander, he served on active duty in the South Pacific and Japan.
