Johan Larsson

Johan brings more than 13 years of experience in executive search, combined with hands-on operational leadership gained through founding and leading a technology startup. His background spans retained executive search, product development, fundraising, and scaling operations, giving him a practical understanding of the leadership demands that industrial organizations face while operating in complex, global environments.

Before joining DHR, Johan was Vice President at a retained executive search firm, where he advised organizations on leadership hiring across highly specialized industrial markets. Earlier in his career, he helped build and lead an automotive-focused retirement practice within a global recruitment organization, developing one of the firm’s top-performing teams worldwide.

Johan’s experience working directly within industrial and technology-driven businesses, combined with his technical fluency across software, hardware, and mechanical engineering disciplines, enables him to execute complex searches for C-suite, general management, and senior functional leaders in operations, engineering, and commercial roles.

Fluent in Japanese, English, and Swedish, Johan brings deep cultural and market insights to his work.  He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in international management from Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University.
