Dr. Sidney Ribeau, immediate past president of Howard University in Washington DC, and President Emeritus of Bowling Green State University in Ohio, has had a 32-year career in higher education marked by an open minded and responsive approach, whether in the classroom or leading a university.
At Bowling Green University in Ohio and then at Howard University in Washington, DC, Dr. Ribeau was recognized as an innovative leader who launched forward-looking initiatives to secure the university’s future success within the context of a student-centered focus.
