Disa Mason

Disa Mason, one of our most experienced associate consultants, has more than 16 years of recruitment in higher education. She also serves as the Assistant Director of the American Academic Leadership Institute.

Ms. Mason has completed over 125 searches in a wide array of positions, from presidents and senior administrators to deans and more specialized positions, such as heads of independent higher education foundations and state educational systems, and technical roles in admissions, enrollment management, finance and administration, and institutional advancement. Ms. Mason has also placed executive directors of university-affiliated programs, such as art museums and laboratories. She has worked with both public and private institutions across the nation and has extensive experience working in states with open records laws.

Prior to Academic Search, Ms. Mason began her career in sales and marketing for the Campbell Soup Sales Company, working with prominent high-end grocery retailers across the eastern and southeastern states. She holds an M.B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin and a B.A. in East Asian Studies from Vanderbilt University.
