Nancy P. Crimmin
Senior Consultant and Senior Executive Coach
During a higher education career spanning more than 30 years, Nancy P. Crimmin has served in progressive leadership roles, including president of Becker College, and has held positions in academic and student affairs as director, dean, vice president, and senior vice president. She is a recognized leader in higher education administration whose work has been centered on creating campus environments conducive to and supportive of student success, developing professional talent, creating effective and inclusive teams, evaluating and assessing professional roles and responsibilities, and leading with authenticity.
As a hiring manager for over 25 years, she has focused on inclusive and efficient processes, retention of talent, and sustainable organizational design. Her commitment to developing leaders in higher education included elevating and mentoring the most talented professional for each position, which may have included someone from outside the specific area of functionality.
Nancy has extensive experience and involvement with professional organizations and has garnered a wide professional network, including in NASPA – Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education, where she served as the 2017 Annual Conference Chair in San Antonio, Texas; board member of the NASPA Foundation; Regional Vice President for the Northeast; and a faculty mentor for the Alice Manicur Symposium for those who identify as women in mid-level positions aspiring to vice president of student affairs positions.
Other leadership positions include Chair of the Higher Education Consortium of Central Massachusetts, NCAA Division III President’s Council, Chair of the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) for Division III, Board member of the Association of Independent Colleges of Massachusetts, and involvement with many non-profit organizations in Central Massachusetts.
Nancy has been widely recognized for her contributions to the field, including the NASPA Foundation’s highest honor, the Pillar of the Profession Award. She is a frequent presenter and invited speaker for professional and civic organizations, with specific emphasis on women and girls in education, first- generation and continuing-generation college students, the importance of networking and mentorship, the future of work, change management and agility, and sustainability in higher education.
Nancy earned a doctorate in educational leadership from Johnson and Wales, a master’s degree from Springfield College, and a bachelor’s degree from Stonehill College. She currently resides in Massachusetts.
