Ken Nimitz

Ken brings over 25 years of industry experience to Stanton Chase’s Nashville office. He has diverse, in-depth knowledge of operations management, recruiting, training & development, and technical marketing & sales. While he has primarily worked in the oil & gas service sector, Ken also has experience with IT development, biotech start-ups, and the maritime industry. With a career that began as an offshore field engineer with oilfield bellwether Schlumberger Limited, Ken has enjoyed the challenge of a wide variety of management roles. Within Schlumberger, he quickly advanced upward into management and was given the opportunity to run operations organizations as large as 800+ employees in 16 locations generating >$325M in revenues. From there he held executive positions with Australian-based Neptune Marine Services, then with VC/PE-backed biotech start-up Glori Energy, and finally as COO of PE-owned Allied-Horizontal Wireline.

Ken’s career has had a broad global footprint as he has lived and worked in both the US and Thailand while successfully conducting business across North America, Southeast Asia, South America, the Middle East, and Russia. Ken’s broad proficiency in operations, business strategy, management/leadership development, and business development give him an excellent perspective for selecting high-performing executives that will fill an organization’s leadership needs. In addition, his passion for building corporate cultures, teamwork, and mentoring drive him to seek out business executives that provide vision, motivation, and inspiration for the employee base. Ken received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his Master of Business Administration degree from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
