Dave’s primary focus is on the consumer packaged goods, food service, retail and industrial industries. His functional areas of expertise include general management, marketing and sales, human resources, finance, information technology and real estate and construction. Dave’s recruiting experience ranges from emerging growth and venture-backed enterprises to Fortune 10 corporations. He has conducted over 620 assignments. For 28 years, Dave was with one of the largest executive search firms. He served as practice leader for Consumer, Technology, Finance and CIO. He also served a Managing Partner for the Southwest.
Prior to his search career he held financial and general management positions with Merrill Lynch, American Home Products and Eastman Kodak. He was involved with the startup of Merrill Lynch Realty and was a founder of American Home Shield, taking the company from concept to initial public offering. Dave holds two degrees from Syracuse University, a bachelor’s degree in accounting and industrial engineering and a MBA in management accounting and international studies. He also served as an officer in the US Army. He sits on several public and not-for-profit boards. He is a current board member, past Dallas president, and member of the national committee on finance and information technology for the 11,000 member Financial Executives International. He is a recipient of it’s highest award and has served as a speaker and panel member at several of their conferences.
