Edward J. Savage III
Managing Director
Edward J. Savage is a co-Founder of Stanton Chase International and Chair Emeritus of its predecessor firm. He currently serves as a Managing Director for the Stanton Chase Los Angeles office. Mr. Savage has been a member of the Healthcare/ Life Sciences Executive Search Practice team with over 35 professionals for more than 10 years and has completed a myriad of “C” level searches for clients in the biotechnology, medical device, bio therapeutics and healthcare markets for clients that have ranged from pre-revenue venture-backed startups to large multinationals. Mr. Savage has served as a Global Practice Leader for Stanton Chase and has also been active in the firm’s Corporate Governance and Private Equity Practice Groups as well as Industrial, Technology and Consumer Products & Services.
Prior to co-founding Stanton Chase, Ed served as Chief Operating Officer of Kors Marlar Savage & Associates, a mid-sized international leadership capital consulting firm focused on Energy, Technology, and Consumer Products. His previous experience included 10 years with Korn Ferry International in Los Angeles where he served as Managing Partner of the firm’s headquarters office in Los Angeles for 5 years and Founder of two specialty practice groups. He also served on the firm’s executive committee. Earlier Ed was a management consultant with Arthur D Little in San Francisco as well as a member of the professional staff and Director of Finance & Administration for the Computer Sciences Division of the RAND Corporation.
He holds a Masters degree in Management from The University of California, Berkeley where he studied law at Boalt Hall. He is also a graduate of Stanford Business School’s Executive Program and received his BA cum laude from LSU. Ed has sat on 12 Boards of private companies as well as having served as a trustee of a major university and several non-profits. He has also been active with NACD, several venture capital firms and Angel funds. His passion is on building organizations with leaders who care. He has been extremely active with the Young Presidents Organization and its graduate Groups: CEO and YPO Gold where he has served as Chapter Chair, Area Vice President and International Board a & Executive Committee Member. He also has been a member of the United National Business Council and Who’s Who in American Business.
