Dan’s personal mission is to create environments that allow people to unlock their potential, discover the brilliance within them, and dare to develop themselves into the best versions of who they can be. He challenges himself and others to thrive in the unexpected by keeping bias in check and creating capacity to learn and grow.
Before joining Teamalytics in 2023, Dan’s role as VP Leadership Development and Culture Center of Excellence for NTT DATA allowed him to cast and create a vision for leadership excellence with a culture of purposeful growth. Prior to this, Dan served as VP of People Operations for several different companies in the IT / Software development space.
Dan’s 20+ years of executive experience stewarding human capital includes an extensive history of coaching and developing leadership capabilities and behaviors, organizational design and effectiveness, and executive coaching. Dan has been involved with the Flippen Group since 2006 as a facilitator of the program in several of his organizations. Dan has a BA in psychology in from Calvin University and an MA in Industrial & Organizational Psychology from Western Michigan University. Dan has studied leadership at CEDEP / INSEAD in Fontainebleau France. Dan is an advisor to SAAS technology startups in the supply-chain/transportation space as well as human performance software.
Dan and his wife Lisa live in Douglas Michigan, with their German Short-haired Pointer Bailey. They have three adult children, Ben, Seth, and Claire, and three grandchildren – Shay, Blake, and Beckham – who keep them forever young.
Apart from work, Dan enjoys reading, music, hot-yoga, camping, and all things outdoors.
