Nicola Gavazzi
Managing Director/Area/Country Manager
Nicola Gavazzi is the firm’s Country Manager for Italy, based in Milan. He is also a senior member of the Energy, Industrial and Natural Resources and Technology Sectors. With deep experience as an advisor for CEO search and succession planning, as well as board consulting and assessment, Nicola has worked closely with both private and public companies, including private equity firms and family businesses.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
Nicola joined Russell Reynolds Associates after almost 30 years with another leading international executive search firm, where he was a Managing Director. In this role, he led their Milan and Rome offices and worked across technology, communications, industrial and financial sectors, both regionally and internationally. Previously, Nicola was a Business Controller for Gruppo Industriale Ercole Marelli, an industrial supply group. He began his career as a Project Engineer at Foster Wheeler Italia, then worked at Techint, in project management and business development.
EDUCATION & AFFILIATIONS
Nicola holds an MSc in chemical engineering from the Polytechnic of Milan and an MBA from SDA Bocconi. He is a Board member of the Milan Polytechnic Alumni Association and of a children’s nonprofit organization.
