Nick Chia leads the firm’s business activities in Singapore. He is a member of the Technology, Industrial, Energy & Natural Resources Sectors, where he works as a trusted advisor to both international and regional clients. Nick recently helped a listed UK technology company add a female Asian board member and consulted with a listed Southeast Asian company on adding digital expertise to their board through a digital director and an advisory board. Recent heads of Asia Pacific assignments for a software company and an industrial testing firm are examples of the type of work Nick does with MNCs. He has a functional expertise in technology-driven positions; recent examples of work in this area include hiring two technology professionals as part of succession planning for a Chief Technology Officer in an asset management firm, and recruiting a new head of IT for a real estate services company looking to add digital expertise.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Nick managed his own consulting firm. Previously, he spent 16 years with a leading international search consulting firm, where he held several senior leadership roles. He focused on C-level executive searches, recruitment of non-executive board members and CEO succession planning for technology, media and industrial products and services clients in Asia Pacific. Nick started his career in sales and marketing with technology companies.
