Francisco (Paco) Ruiz-Maza

Managing Director/Area/Country Manager

Paco Ruiz-Maza heads the firm’s Mexico office and is a senior member of the Board & CEO Advisory Partners. He has a particular focus on advising family-owned businesses in their succession efforts, as well as supporting private equity firms in their portfolio company management needs. Paco has successfully recruited many CEOs, board members and C-level executives for a variety of clients across Mexico and Latin America. He is based in Mexico City.

 

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Paco was a Managing Director at Grupo Papelero Scribe, where he was responsible for new business development and foreign trade. He managed their export business, led international acquisitions and negotiated and executed distribution agreements in the US and Canada. Prior to that, Paco spent nine years with Grupo Modelo, as Managing Director of International Beers, where he was President and the legal representative of the foreign brands company, with full P&L responsibility. Previously, he was the firm’s International Markets Senior Manager, where he led, developed and implemented Corona Extra’s international brand strategy. Paco also coordinated Grupo Modelo’s six subsidiaries globally.

 

EDUCATION

Paco received his BSc in chemical engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and his MBA from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management. He speaks Spanish, English and French.
