Graham Cole CBE, FRAES joined Horton International UK in July 2016 as Chairman.
He began his career in the motor industry with GKN before moving to Westland Helicopters Limited where he held a number of roles, including eight years in Brazil as Regional Director of Westland Helicopters. On his return to the UK he was appointed Managing Director, Westland Helicopters and Managing Director for the AgustaWestland Group worldwide. When AgustaWestland was fully acquired by Finmeccanica in 2005, he became an advisor to the Chairman and CEO of AgustaWestland.
In 2011 Graham was appointed Chairman of AgustaWestland and sat on the Board of Finmeccanica, the parent company.
Graham was awarded a CBE in 2004 for his contribution to Aerospace and in 2008 the Commendatore dell’ Ordine della Stella della Solidarietá Italiana by the President of Italy for his work on Anglo Italian business. Graham is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, has served on a number of UK Ministerial Committees and was also appointed a Pensions Commissioner reporting on the future of UK private pensions.
In 2012 Graham was appointed Chairman of the CBI South West and in 2015 he led the Cole Commission and authored the Commission’s report on exports: in the same year he was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Law (LL.D) by the University of Exeter.
Graham is a Freemen of the City of London and a Member of the Court of Coachmakers Livery.
Graham will be using his considerable international business experience to drive the growth of Horton International UK Executive Search services as well as expanding the range of services available to clients.
