La Fosse Associates Opens New Office in Manchester

May 1, 2017 – U.K.-headquartered executive search firm La Fosse Associates continues its recent wave of aggressive growth with the opening of a new office in Manchester. The firm also added senior consultant Winhola Leung to lead the new location.

“Opening an office in one of the U.K.’s busiest tech hubs is an exciting milestone for La Fosse and our clients,” said Ollie Whiting, director at La Fosse. “Our impressive track record in Manchester is only set to improve, as we continue to offer specialist industry knowledge, a worldwide network and an unrivalled talent pool from across the U.K. that covers an extensive range of technology verticals.”

Ms. Leung has significant experience in technology and digital recruitment across all levels, from C-suite to engineering. She has worked with industry leading brands, including Bupa, Freshfields, Allen & Overy, LVMH, Telstra and Morgan Stanley. She specializes in recruiting IT leadership, infrastructure/technology & digital specialists across the globe. Previously, she served as team leader for technology at Argyll Scott. Earlier in her career she was a consultant with Hays.

Renowned for its thriving night life and music scene, Manchester is now a proven magnet for tech start-ups. A number of technology companies are based here, including accommodation booking site LateRooms, fashion e-tailer BooHoo.com and e-commerce site Auto Trader.

“Not only am I excited to be part of the Manchester tech revolution, but I’m also thrilled to join La Fosse, whose innovative culture, specialist knowledge and incredible growth seriously sets them apart,” said Ms. Leung. La Fosse has already achieved great things for clients in Manchester, and having a base here will further establish us as industry leaders in the region.”

Demand for top technology executives continues to gain momentum. According to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics, CTO hiring is predicted to grow by 18 percent by 2022. La Fosse Associates, a specialist technology and digital recruiter with a wide band of service offerings from board level through to technical roles, is taking advantage of the trend. The firm has filled CIO roles for Linklaters, Sheffield Hallam University and Viapath. It also recruited the chief technology officer for Hopster TV.

An Eye to the U.S.

In February, La Fosse Associates opened its first U.S. office based in Santa Monica, the hub of Los Angeles’ thriving tech and digital sector, where it is already engaged in a number of assignments for organizations ranging from early stage start-ups to global concern. Tom Vaughan heads-up the new location there and is responsible for establishing and expanding the firm’s West Coast presence. With almost a decade of executive search experience, he helped scale La Fosse from a team of 12 to 150 in just six years.

“Expanding into the U.S. market is an exciting milestone for La Fosse,” said James Parker, a managing director. “Our American portfolio mirrors that of our U.K. offering, covering technology, digital and change roles at all levels from the board down. We’re confident our unique top-to-bottom capability gives us a solid foundation for success.”

Also in February, La Fosse formed an alliance with Intelligent Partners, a provider of research and education on alternative investments. Through the partnership, La Fosse will serve as a ‘talent partner’ to the firm. It turned to the search firm, it said, because of its expertise in the technology and digital sectors.
