La Fosse Associates Forms Recruiting Alliance With Intelligent Partners

February 8, 2017 – U.K.-headquartered executive search firm La Fosse Associates has formed an alliance with Intelligent Partners, a provider of research and education on alternative investments.

Through the partnership, La Fosse will serve as a ‘talent partner’ to Intelligent Partners. The company turned to the search firm because of its expertise in the technology and digital sectors.

Recruiting and retaining talented employees is widely recognized as one of the biggest challenges faced by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). SMEs grow quickly and often need to be able to attract people with the right skills to help them expand a company’s structure, to take on more customers or to reach a level of maturity that enable it to attract further funding.

Struggling to Find Talent

“Smaller companies from all over the U.K. are continuing to drive economic growth,” said Guy Tolhurst, managing director of Intelligent Partners. “But right now, there are serious concerns that these companies will struggle to find people with the skills and talents that they need to keep growing.”

“This initiative couldn’t be timelier,” Mr. Tolhurst said. “Bringing in La Fosse Associates as our talent partner means we can do more to encourage companies to attract, nurture and retain talent wherever it can be found.”

Smaller companies need to be much more strategic when it comes to recruiting talent, said Simon Devonshire, entrepreneur in residence at BEIS. “We want SMEs to think of innovative ways to attract talented people to fast growth companies, rather than losing them to bigger companies that can pay higher wages, and I see this pairing working well towards achieving that.”

The work undertaken this year by Intelligent Partners as part of the selection process for the Growth Investor 2016 awards has demonstrated just how much small and medium-sized companies rely on talent to succeed,” said James Parker, a La Fosse managing director. “We’re delighted to have been chosen as their talent partner and we’re committed to helping SMEs on their journey to hiring the right people.”

La Fosse Associates is a specialist technology and digital recruiter with a wide band of service offerings from board level through to technical roles. The firm has filled CIO roles for Linklaters, Sheffield Hallam University and Viapath. It has also recruited the chief technology officer for Hopster TV.

Just recently, La Fosse added Peter Ratcliffe as director of operations. He has wealth of experience in operational strategy and development, transforming businesses of multiple sizes across three continents. Mr. Ratcliffe most recently served as director of business strategy and operations at Pure – Search & Selection.

This past August, the firm added Henry Draper as head of its financial services & technology practice, Sarah Mitchell as search consultant and Bruce Mair as a principal consultant. Mr. Draper most recently served as global executive search lead, CIO / CTO practice at NP Group. Previously, Ms. Mitchell was business development director, U.K. public sector, consulting and IT services at Globetec Solutions. Mr. Mair formerly served as practice head, IT for Alium Partners.
