Century Group Opens in Denver

May 9, 2018 – El Segundo, CA-based executive search firm Century Group has opened a new office in Denver, marking its fifth location. Managing director Peter Nelson will lead the firm’s efforts in the region.
“We have been identifying new locales for expansion,” said Ron Proul, CEO. “Denver is one of those that allow the group concept to service the region’s clients in the same way we have excelled in other markets.”
Mr. Nelson has worked with the search firm for nearly two decades. He has completed searches for clients in the engineering, entertainment, technology, legal and services industries. His diverse client list has included both public and private companies ranging in size from Fortune 500 to start-up companies.
“Peter has been an incredibly valuable resource for the entirety of my professional career,” said Angela Stead. “Whether personally seeking new opportunities, or in finding me the right candidates for my open positions, Peter was consistently able to provide ideal opportunities and candidates,” she said. “While I will miss him here in California, I know that he will prove to be a great resource for his new client base.”
“I’m excited about this new chapter in my career, and to take on this new challenge for the firm,” said Mr. Nelson. “I’m looking forward to bringing my 18 years of experience in the group concept to building a team in a new market.”
Mr. Nelson was previously director, executive search at the firm’s El Segundo office – managing and completing searches in the entertainment, engineering, technology, real estate, legal and service industries. He’s placed professionals at the CEO, CFO, vice president, controller and management levels within finance, accounting, tax and audit. He joined Century Group as an associate, where he focused on developing relationships with professionals in public accounting. He was later promoted to senior associate, where he focused on managing a diverse client list in both public and private companies, ranging from start-up to Fortune 500.
Century Group espouses a company-wide philosophy that is grounded in collaboration. Its clients range from start-up to Fortune 100 companies, and encompass a wide variety of industries.
“The group concept permits us to view our network as a global talent pool — a resource we can collectively draw upon to deliver the best service to our clients, regardless of location,” said the firm. “We believe only by remaining a single firm, rather than a loose confederation of offices and recruiters, can we be the most effective and treat our people with fairness and integrity.”
