McDermott & Bull Acquires Prime-Core Executive Search

February 21, 2018 – Acquisitions continue to make news in the recruiting industry and recent activity appears to be carrying over into 2018. McDermott & Bull has acquired Denver-based Prime-Core Executive Search. Ken Dropiewski, as a result, joins the firm as a principal consultant in the sciences group, specializing in the med-tech space.

“The addition of Ken to our firm is a huge win for McDermott & Bull,” said CEO Rod McDermott. “As we broaden our footprint and expand into new markets, it’s imperative for us to maintain our focus on the diverse and unique needs of our clients. The only way to do that is to make sure that we have the right team in place, and Ken’s extensive experience in Med-Tech and impressive record in placing top talent at leading companies make him the ideal partner to our clients.”

Mr. Dropiewski operated Prime-Core Executive Search for over a decade. He has worked in all areas of medical device and biotech, but is especially known for his expertise spanning over 20 years in the cardiac, interventional and vascular niche. During his tenure as a search consultant, he has partnered with healthcare companies like Medtronic, Abbott and Abiomed, as well as numerous high-growth start-ups and mid-cap companies to place key contributors and build dynamic teams. Prior to his search career, Mr. Dropiewski worked at healthcare giants Boston Scientific and Johnson & Johnson and is current president of the Rocky Mountain Association of Recruiters.
