StevenDouglas Opens New Office in Miami

September 6, 2018 – Executive search firm StevenDouglas has continued its recent expansion with the addition of a new office in Miami. This marks the firm’s fifth office in Florida.

“As the firm grows domestically and internationally, we want to make sure we continue to lead the Florida market since this is our home turf,” said Matthew Shore, president of the firm. “The Miami office will also be home to our rapidly expanding Latin America division. It’s many of the relationships our CEO Steve Sadaka started building when he founded the firm in Miami almost 35 years ago that are still some of the top clients we work with today, placing talent all over the U.S., Canada and Latin America.”

Miami, a major center of commerce and finance, boasts a strong international business community. Tourism remains a mainstay. Renowned for its beaches, conventions, festivals and other events, the city annually draws over 38 million visitors, who spend upwards of $17 billion. The Art Deco District in South Beach, in particular, is renowned for its nightclubs, beaches, historical buildings and shopping.

Growing Search Firm

Established in 1984, StevenDouglas is a boutique search and interim resources firm headquartered in Sunrise, FL. Its client base is industry agnostic and ranges from start-ups and emerging middle-market companies to Fortune 500 companies and public- and private equity-owned firms.

StevenDouglas continues to be in growth mode, reporting a 200 percent increase in personnel in the last five years, and numerous new offices opening across the U.S. This spring, the firm acquired Tallience, a full-service technology search, staffing and consulting firm located in Fort Lauderdale. As part of the acquisition, Tallience founding partner Tim Baron joined StevenDouglas as managing director of its Washington, D.C. metro office. Tallience was started in 2010 by Mr. Baron and his partners. The firm, which has a strong presence and client base in Florida and the Mid-Atlantic region, delivers technology talent across various industries in the commercial sector as well as cleared talent across the federal government.

Just before that, the firm expanded with the launch of a new office in Atlanta and the addition of David Mauger as a director of technology search. Mr. Mauger is responsible for developing StevenDouglas’ information technology search practice by leveraging his experience in recruiting executive and middle-management professionals across cybersecurity, data and analytics, application development and emerging digital technologies in the Atlanta area.

Earlier this year, StevenDouglas expanded into Canada with the opening of a new office in Toronto. Navinder Binning, who joined the firm as vice president, is leading the executive search business in the Canadian region, said the firm. Her focus is on further developing the recruiters’ presence by delivering high-caliber talent for Canada’s leading industries including industrial and mining, energy, real estate and life sciences. Before joining StevenDouglas, Ms. Binning was a principal with the Bedford Consulting Group, where she helped place C-suite executives and operating managers into many of Canada’s emerging and established organizations within prominent, global industries.
