Peter Van Son is a Director in our Partner Practice Group, based in the New York City office. He specializes in representing and placing partners and groups in global, national, regional and local law firms in the New York metro area.
Prior to joining Major, Lindsey & Africa, Peter spent eight years as a legal management executive at Proskauer, WilmerHale and Orrick. In those roles, he oversaw law firm strategy, recruiting, professional development, pricing, training, budgeting, staffing and general operations. Before transitioning into legal management, Peter practiced for over eight years in the global corporate finance group in Orrick’s New York office.
Peter resides in Cold Spring Harbor on Long Island and is an avid golfer and hockey player. While earning his bachelor’s degree from Washington & Lee University, Peter was captain of the men’s varsity soccer team and selected First-Team All-South (Honorable All-American) his senior year.
