Julian Buckeridge

Managing Partner

Julian Buckeridge is Managing Partner, Greater China at NGS Global and is based in Shanghai, China. He co-leads the Consumer, Retail and Hospitality practice group and is an active member of the Private Equity practice.

For over 15 years, Mr. Buckeridge has successfully completed numerous senior-level search assignments across the Asia Pacific region, covering all key functions for Asia-based publicly listed companies, as well as western multinational’s Asian businesses. Focused on the Asia region, Mr. Buckeridge utilizes his Mandarin language capability, general management experience with multinational corporations, and proven track record in company establishment, organizational development and successful hiring of staff, to assist his clients with the critical strategic recruitment of key executives.

Mr. Buckeridge spent the first 12 years of his commercial career working in the consumer products and media industries, initially for Harrison & Crossfields, and then with Diageo (previously International Distillers & Vintners), in progressively senior marketing roles in Asia. As Executive Vice President, Korea, he was instrumental in establishing the sales and marketing joint venture of International Distillers Korea, from which he was later promoted to General Manager of International Distillers Taiwan. In 1998, Clear Channel Communications (CCU) recruited Mr. Buckeridge for the position of Managing Director, Taiwan. He led an aggressive expansion through acquisition, and in two years’ time, CCU was ranked the second largest outdoor media company in Taiwan.

Born in the UK, Mr. Buckeridge graduated from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and was commissioned into the 6th Gurkha Rifles, carrying out many deployments worldwide and completing his Short Service Commission in 1988 as Captain.

Married with two sons, Mr. Buckeridge is a competitive triathlete.
