Georg Unger

Managing Partner

Georg Unger is Managing Partner at NGS Global. Based in the firm’s Vienna office, he executes search assignments on behalf of clients across a wide range of industries, with special emphasis on financial services and consumer, retail and hospitality sectors.

With over 20 years of international executive search experience, Dr. Unger has led search assignments across functional areas, with particular emphasis on general management, sales, and marketing. He has placed senior executives for banks, advertising agencies and industrial clients in Austria, as well as in other countries across Europe, with a specific focus on CEE countries. He has also executed several management assessments for companies in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). Dr. Unger has in-depth knowledge of human capital trends and management challenges in all countries in the CEE region.

Before entering the executive search industry, Dr. Unger served as Chief Executive Officer of a group of Austrian-based companies. He was previously an account director at an advertising group based in London, where he worked with international clients and rose to become the firm’s Chief Financial Officer.

Dr. Unger holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Economics in Vienna.
