David Rolla

Senior Director

David Rolla is a Senior Director at BarkerGilmore, where he collaborates with clients to strategically build out their legal and compliance teams with top-tier talent. As a former corporate attorney at some of the world’s leading law firms, David understands the quality of legal and compliance personnel that a business requires to effectively support its objectives. David is recognized for making placements yielding valuable and lasting employment arrangements. A combination of business savvy and emotional intelligence allows David to develop meaningful relationships with clients and candidates to deliver impactful results.

David’s experience includes working with both for-profit and non-profit organizations. As an attorney, he has worked with domestic and global private and public companies across myriad industries, including private equity, venture capital, finance, technology, communications, energy, healthcare, gaming, cannabis, and consumer goods and services, among others.  David is a member of the Board of Directors of Greenhouse Scholars, a national education nonprofit that helps high-achieving students from under-resourced backgrounds excel in college and beyond. He is a graduate of the Greenhouse Scholars program and takes pride in serving the organization in a leadership capacity. Prior to law school, David worked at the Denver Scholarship Foundation, a nonprofit that helps Denver Public Schools students gain access to and succeed in postsecondary education programs. In line with BarkerGilmore’s core values, David understands the importance and value of building diverse legal and compliance teams and is committed to advancing a more inclusive legal industry. He is part of several local and national Latino and LGBTQ professional organizations where he interacts with premier diverse talent and corporate leaders.

Prior to joining BarkerGilmore, David was a mergers and acquisitions associate at Paul, Weiss in New York City, and Morrison and Foerster in Denver.

David earned his J.D. from New York University School of Law, where he was an AnBryce Scholar, and an A.B. from Dartmouth College.
