Mary Rombaut, Ed.D., is the Managing Director of Research and Analytics at BarkerGilmore. She plays an integral role in leading research initiatives to align with recruiting efforts and client development across industries such as healthcare, finance, and energy. Mary provides a unique perspective on procedural aspects of the firm’s research and recruiting practices. With more than a decade of experience in research, analytics, strategic planning, online database navigation, and business intelligence, Mary fully understands the importance of thorough investigation and comparison to identify and vet candidate potential. As a database manager, she ensures data integrity and advises clients on data-driven sourcing strategies, organizational structure, and patterns in the candidate market.
Prior to joining BarkerGilmore, Mary led a team of analysts at a national marketing firm consulting on custom research and analytics projects, as well as reporting on marketing metrics. At a healthcare group purchasing organization, she created an analytics program designed to save members money by matching their spending with contracts. During her time in higher education, Mary received national recognition for her use of predictive analytics as a strategy to increase student success outcomes.
Mary spearheaded our General Counsel Succession Series research that explores those aspiring to become General Counsel and the path those that have achieved the role have taken. Her legal research with BarkerGilmore is frequently featured in industry publications.
Mary earned her B.A. in Political Science & English from St. John Fisher College, her M.S. in Political Science from Northern Illinois University, and her Ed.D. in Executive Leadership from St. John Fisher College.
