Steve’s background in psychology gives him a thought-provoking view on what drives individuals, as well as how to form an effective and successful team. He understands the motivation behind success and how to bring the highest level of talent to any organization. Steve focuses on highly regulated industries such as life sciences, healthcare, insurance, and financial services.

Prior to joining BarkerGilmore, Steve was a search consultant at another firm serving Fortune 500 and midsize companies on their hiring practices, team development, retention, and growth plans. During his career to date, Steve has placed the U.S. Head of Operational Risk and Senior Vice President of Risk for a Fortune 100 international banking corporation, the Vice President of Compliance & Audit with a national healthcare leader, and the Chief Compliance Officer for an international healthcare services organization.

Steve earned a B.A. in Psychology from The State University of New York at Geneseo and an M.S. in Psychology and Human Motivation from the City University of New York.
