AIMS International Expands Into Ireland

September 25, 2019 – Executive search consortium AIMS International has added Search Excellence as its newest member firm. This has led to the formation of AIMS International Ireland, which will be Ken McIntyre-Barn.

Mr. McIntyre-Barn has been working in the executive search industry since 2010 and has expertise finding executives for organizations in the consumer goods, media & technology, pharmaceutical, connected entertainment, fuels, bio-energy and consulting industries. Before founding Search Excellence in 2010, Mr. McIntyre-Barn was a director at the Institute of Management Consultants and Advisors (IMCA).

“Ireland is a very important location for AIMS International,” said Bernardo Entschev, president of AIMS International. “The Irish economy is performing extremely well primarily as a result of many well-known multinational companies locating their European headquarters there. In addition, an increasing number of organizations are looking to invest in Ireland because of Brexit.”

“This addition to our global footprint greatly enhances our ability to serve globally based clients,” he said. “We are delighted to welcome Ken and his team, who bring significant expertise and experience in key industry sectors, to AIMS International.”

“Becoming part of AIMS International will help strengthen our position in the Irish market and give us significant international search capability across the world,” said Mr. McIntyre-Barn. “Clients want and expect genuine international reach and being part of a globally integrated firm is now a strategic necessity. A recent report prepared by EY indicates that companies in Ireland will recruit more employees from overseas than they will from the domestic market.”

I am delighted to join AIMS International, which is one of very few truly global executive search & leadership development organizations and look forward to helping develop it further,” Mr. McIntyre-Barn said. “This partnership will help strengthen our position in the Irish market and give us significant international search capability across the world where we can draw upon a worldwide network of experts in almost all industries and functions and co-ordinate activities on a global basis and react to our clients’ international business requirements.”

With over 80 offices worldwide, AIMS International provides clients with customized, global executive search and talent management services in 50 countries. It has active global practice groups working in the automotive, financial and professional services, FMCG and luxury goods, industrial, IT and telecoms, and life sciences industries, as well as in talent management and board advisory services.

Glowing Global Organization

AIMS has experienced a wave of growth over the past year. During the summer, AIMS appointed Bernardo Entschev as its new president. He took over from Pierangelo Favero who served in the role since 2015. Mr. Entschev is managing partner U.S. and previously served as international vice president and executive vice president for the Latin Americas and Americas regions. He is qualified as a medical surgeon in Brazil and worked as a craniofacial surgeon for 10 years before joining his father’s executive search company in Brazil in 2007. Since then he has become an integral part of AIMS International, growing the business, first in South America and more recently in North America.

“I am honored by the great confidence shown by our general assembly in Marrakech, electing me as president of AIMS International,” said Mr. Entschev. “The executive search market is changing due to the development of tech platforms, connecting candidates and companies. To stay relevant in today’s market, an executive search organization needs to offer more than finding the right candidate.”
