AIMS International Elects New President

July 25, 2019 – Executive search consortium AIMS International has appointed Bernardo Entschev as its new president. He takes over from Pierangelo Favero who served in the role since 2015.

Mr. Entschev is managing partner U.S. and previously served as international vice president and executive vice president for the Latin Americas and Americas regions. He is qualified as a medical surgeon in Brazil and worked as a craniofacial surgeon for 10 years before joining his father’s executive search company in Brazil in 2007. Since then he has become an integral part of AIMS International, growing the business, first in South America and more recently in North America.

“I am honored by the great confidence shown by our general assembly in Marrakech, electing me as president of AIMS International,” said Mr. Entschev. “The executive search market is changing due to the development of tech platforms, connecting candidates and companies. To stay relevant in today’s market, an executive search organization needs to offer more than finding the right candidate.”

“Relationship building, market intelligence, data management is just a few skills expected from a top executive search firm,” he said. “Leadership services are more and more in demand in order to offer continuity to the recruiting process. AIMS International has achieved much in recent years and we have been serving our clients well, but there are still huge opportunities to develop and grow. I believe my unique career path and my entrepreneurial skills developing the business, first in Brazil and for the last years in U.S., will help our organization find and grow the essential skills needed for future success.”

In addition Peter Barkhurst, who served on the executive board since 2012, was elected as AIMS International vice president. Mr. Barkhurst is managing partner AIMS Germany and has played an integral role in the strategic development of the organization’s practice groups globally.

“It is a privilege to work with such experienced and committed people in the AIMS community,” said Mr. Barkhurst. “Being trusted with this new role, I take an active part in the board, teaming up with my colleagues to finding top solutions for our Partners while further developing our reach and services for local and global clients. Working in such a multi-cultural, professional environment while constantly being challenged by fast-changing markets is what makes working with my AIMS colleagues extremely stimulating.”
