The Hennessy Group Partners with Norland Associates

November 19, 2018 – The Hennessy Group has partnered with Shanghai-based executive search firm Norland Associates to extend life sciences executive search services to East Asia markets.

“Our clients in the life sciences industry have seen incredible growth over the past few years,” said Bob Hennessy, founder and CEO.

“We felt the time was right to boost our efforts further in the Pacific Rim and Asia Pacific markets, where the need for talent in the CDMO, pharmaceuticals and other life sciences sectors is very high.”

“Partnering with a boutique executive search firm similar to our own lets us make deeper connections with clients and candidates in geographic markets outside of North America and Europe,” Mr. Hennessy said. “While we’ve never shied away from placing talent in markets like South Korea, for example, Norland’s assistance will help us deliver the leadership talent our clients are seeking even faster and more effectively. The Hennessy Group will perform a reciprocal function in the U.S. for Norland.”

Since Norland Associates began operating as an executive search firm in 2010, it has worked on more than 1,300 projects. In 2018 alone, the firm’s 12 recruiters have completed more than 130 placements. The firm is led by president Weldon Johnson.

The Hennessy Group is dedicated to connecting life sciences companies with senior leaders. Over the past 30 years, the firm has developed industry-wide connections with professionals and companies in pharmaceuticals, life sciences startups, specialty pharma, orphan drugs and more. The Hennessy Group operates offices in Philadelphia, Denver, Los Angeles, and Park City, UT.
