Robert (“Rob”) Crawford, based in New York, is a core member of Egon Zehnder’s Financial Services and Private Equity Practices. His over two decades of investment banking and alternative investment management experience make him a valued executive search consultant for clients across a wide spectrum of financial services with a particular focus on investment banking, corporate banking and capital markets. Rob also conducts senior-level executive searches across multiple functional areas for private equity firms and their portfolio companies.

Before joining Egon Zehnder, Rob was a Managing Director at Fair Oaks Capital, a corporate credit-focused investment management firm, leading its business development efforts in the U.S. Prior to that, he served as a Managing Director at IMB Development Corporation, an independent sponsor. Previously, Rob was a Director at Lincoln International, a global investment banking boutique, and a Co-Founder and Partner at Watch Hill Partners, a merchant banking firm, where he provided M&A advisory to private equity and corporate clients. Earlier, Rob served as a Vice President in the Financial Sponsors Coverage and M&A departments at Bowles Hollowell Conner/First Union Securities, a leading middle-market M&A boutique. He began his career as a Financial Analyst in the M&A department of Goldman Sachs, where he subsequently advanced to the position of Vice President.

Rob earned a BA from Morehouse College and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Outside of work, he is passionate about fitness and loves competitive sports, especially cheering on his son’s basketball team. Rob also enjoys participating in community service projects via New York Cares.
