Based in New York, Avitai (Ty) Gold is an active member of Egon Zehnder’s Health and Media, Entertainment & Sports Practices and also plays a key role in the Firm’s Legal, Regulatory & Compliance Professionals Practice. His deep experience in law, governance, sports and health makes him a valued advisor to a wide range of clients.
Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Ty was a consultant at Gold Health Strategies, Inc. in New York City, where he advised boards and senior leaders on a broad array of strategic issues. Before that he served as Assistant General Counsel and then Associate General Counsel at the Mount Sinai Health System, providing legal advice on litigation, labor, governance, intellectual property, transactional, regulatory, and other matters. Earlier, Ty was an attorney at Proskauer Rose LLP, representing clients across industries that included sports and healthcare.
Ty completed an intensive program in French, history, the fine arts and international business at La Sorbonne and the American University of Paris, then earned a B.A. in History from the University of Michigan and a J.D. from the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law. He is devoted to serving his community and sits on the Board of Directors of the Mount Sinai Medical-Legal Partnership, a not-for-profit organization that provides legal assistance to patients. Ty resides in Manhattan with his wife and two young children.
