Francisco Paret, based in New York, leads Egon Zehnder’s Financial Services Practice in the Americas and is also active in the firm’s Financial Tech, Private Equity, and Board Consulting practices. He serves a broad spectrum of clients worldwide across the banking, capital markets, insurance, asset management, and alternative investments sectors. Francisco is a trusted advisor for C-level executive and board director searches, succession planning, and leadership assessment and development.
Before becoming a member of the Egon Zehnder team, Francisco spent more than 10 years in investment banking advising companies, private equity funds, and senior government officials in the United States and Latin America on capital-raising transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. Francisco was a Partner and Managing Director at Duff & Phelps LLC, a middle-market financial advisory and investment banking firm. Earlier in his career, Francisco was a Director in Credit Suisse First Boston’s Technology Investment Banking Group, where he led the corporate finance execution team and advised a broad spectrum of technology companies.
Francisco earned a BSBA in international management and finance from Georgetown University and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He was appointed by President George W. Bush to serve on the Presidential Advisory Commission on Educational Excellence for Hispanic Americans and was a founding partner and board member of Social Venture Partners of the Bay Area, a San Francisco-based venture philanthropy organization focused on youth and educational issues. He has also served on several nonprofit boards. As the proud father of two young women, Francisco is also passionate about empowering women. He is an avid long-distance cyclist and fervent soccer fan, an eclectic reader, and a wine aficionado.
