June 7, 2016 – Sydney, Australia-headquartered executive search firm Johnson has added Hakan Alac as a director in its consumer and life sciences practice.
Mr. Alac focuses on executive search and board succession, and has deep experience across consumer, healthcare, life sciences and media sectors. He also has a track record of developing highly targeted and effective succession programs for organizations conscious about increasing bench strength and reducing management risk.
With an international search career spanning almost 15 years across mature and emerging markets, Mr. Alac is a former Korn Ferry executive and founder and managing partner of Dubai-based AEP, an executive search and advisory services firm focused on the Middle East and North Africa.
He has built significant leadership capability for clients across the entire value chain from chief executive officer and general manager through to procurement, manufacturing, distribution, sales and marketing – along with each of the functional leadership roles. He has a track record of developing highly targeted and effective succession programs for organizations conscious about increasing bench strength and reducing management risk.
“I’m excited by Hakan’s appointment and look forward to working with him to build a market leading consumer and life sciences practice,” said Jason Johnson, managing partner. “Hakan brings a blue chip pedigree from Korn Ferry and the entrepreneurial experience of having established a successful search firm himself. He has a strong track record of consulting to boards and CEOs on building market leading teams both in Australia and internationally.”
Mr. Alac said: “Having been a business owner myself and having worked closely with the owners and leaders of significant businesses, I understand implicitly the need to partner with companies who are genuinely concerned about your business – and highly proficient in appointing quality leadership capable of creating significant value. I am therefore delighted to have joined Johnson, where their focus on partnerships, quality, and performance are completely aligned with my values.”
Johnson has placed chairmen, non-executive directors, CEOs and each of the key functional leadership roles into organizations across a variety of sectors. The firm also has a specialization in supporting professional services firms with strategic growth via the acquisition of lateral partners, team moves and firm mergers.
