Mr. Osborne’s background includes CEO and CFO positions in the FMCG, beverage, food and food ingredients, and agribusiness sectors. In addition, he led turnarounds and recovery efforts on behalf of private equity firms and has consulted in the fields of genomic research, food manufacture, and aquaculture.
He began his career at the accounting firm of Peat Marwick Mitchell (now KPMG). He then moved into executive positions with Mount Gambier Cooperative Dairy, Southern Egg, Farm Pride Foods, Evans & Tate, and Gourmet Food Holdings before moving into advisory services.
Along with long-time principal Mike Banks, Mr. Osborne will serve Kincannon & Reed clients in Australia and New Zealand, as well as through greater Asia as part of the Kincannon & Reed Asia-Pacific team.
“Phil’s outstanding background and insight into the sectors in which he has worked align perfectly with Kincannon & Reed’s philosophy that retained search yields the best results when conducted by principals who have a personal understanding of the environment in which our clients operate,” said Greg Duerksen, Kincannon & Reed president.
