September 5, 2019 – The executive search industry is being disrupted by the entrance of a multitude of new players offering advanced business models and new technologies. The latest: Ivan Adler, an executive recruiter at The McCormick Group for the last 23 years is starting his own business, Ivan Adler Associates, a boutique search firm specializing in government relations and public affairs. Mr. Adler said the firm will service law/lobbying firms, corporations and trade associations, with a particular focus on Washington.
“I’ve had a great run at The McCormick Group and learned from the best in the recruiting business,” said Mr. Adler. “But it was time to try something new.”
Mr. Adler specializes in executive search and consulting services in the areas of government affairs and public affairs. He is widely recognized as an expert in lobbying and government affairs and has been quoted often in such publications as the New York Times, Washington Post, Politico, Roll Call and the Hill. Clients praise his knowledge of Capitol Hill, his passion for politics and his extensive network of bi-partisan contacts in the legislative and executive branches of government.
At McCormick Group, Mr. Adler conducted searches on behalf of law firms, public affairs firms, trade associations, companies and other organizations. He also provided confidential candidate representation to lawyers, lobbyists and other government affairs professionals. Before joining the McCormick Group, Mr. Adler was a senior account executive with PR Newswire and a Senate staffer before that.
