February 12, 2016 – Executive search firm JGA Partners, LLC has been launched by talent acquisition veteran James G. Abruzzo.
Headquartered in New York, the firm opened in November to provide recruiting services for both the executive search industry and corporate talent acquisition function. JGA’s services range from finding client facing search consultants and talent acquisition leaders for companies to onboarding, compensation consulting and market mapping for both constituencies.
Mr. Abruzzo has been an internal recruiter and executive search consultant for over 10 years. Most recently, he was vice president of talent acquisition for the Americas at DHR International. Earlier during his career with DHR he served as VP of talent acquisition for Asia-Pacific.
“JGA Partners is a product of nearly 20 years of combined experience interviewing, assessing, attracting and on-boarding some of the greatest executive search consultants from around the world,” said Mr. Abruzzo. “I saw a desire in the market for a higher level of professionalism and insight within the service of supporting executive search firms in their growth.”
Mr. Abruzzo said the response to his new firm has been better than anticipated. “The industry sees that investing in its own recruitment is not only an investment that pays for itself, but it positions firms to deliver a better service to their own clients, as well as opening opportunities to work with new clients in different geographies and industries.”
Mr. Abruzzo said that the growing trend of corporations building their own internal talent acquisition teams was also an opportunity that he couldn’t pass up serving. “Our knowledge of the search industry and the talent pool of great consultants within it enables us to serve that niche as well.”
JGA Partners recently brought in Charles J. Betzig as a partner; he is based in the firm’s Chicago office. Mr. Betzig joins from DHR, where he was a member of the firm’s global talent acquisition team. During his time there, he was instrumental in assisting the firm identify and attract top-flight search consultants.
