AGB Search In Hunt for North Dakota University President
February 25, 2016 – Executive search firm AGB Search has been selected by the University of North Dakota (UND) to lead the search for its 12th president. Dr. Robert Kelley, who has served as president since 2008, resigned the post. James H. McCormick, AGB Search senior consultant, is leading the assignment.
According to the position specification, the university president will work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students and administrators in a consultative decision-making role of shared governance, promoting the school’s mission of providing undergraduate, graduate, and professional educational experiences.
The successful candidate will ultimately be a consensus-builder with strategic vision, someone with a commitment to learning, teaching, research, and creative and scholarly activity. The search committee ultimately seeks to land a transformational leader for the university.
UND is the oldest and largest university in the state and is ranked among the top 100 public universities in the country by U.S. News & World Report.
