Myers McRae Heading President Search for Lake-Sumter State College

August 19, 2015 – Georgia-based executive search firm Myers McRae has been selected by Lake-Sumter State College to lead its search for a new president.

Myers McRae president and CEO, Emily Parker Myers, along with vice presidents Robb Myers and Bobby Pope, are heading the assignment. Ms. Parker Myers conducts a wide range of searches; her areas of specialty are presidential, provost, vice president for academic affairs, and advancement searches. The Lake-Sumter State College president will serve as the chief executive officer of the College and is responsible for the operation and administration of the institution. Reporting to a nine-member district board of trustees, the president will maintain the vision and priorities of the College and serve as the primary advocate for the institution throughout the service communities and the state.

Myers McRae is an executive search firm serving colleges, universities, independent schools, and other not-for-profit institutions. The firm is currently engaged in the search for a provost and SVP for academic & student affairs for Georgia Gwinnett College; executive director of development for the University of Georgia; and vice chancellor for instructional and student services for Alabama Community College System.

Lake-Sumter State College responds to community needs by providing high-quality, accessible programs from enrichment and career training to associate and baccalaureate degrees. It is based in Leesburg, Florida and is a member institution of the Florida College System.
