Wayne Wormley

Wayne Wormley, Ph.D., joined AGB Search in 2018. He has been active for more than four decades as an educator, both as a faculty member and administrator, as an entrepreneur, and as a management consultant and trainer to business, industry, government, and the not-for-profit sectors.

Most recently, he has helped lead the search for:

  • Bowie State University (MD) – Dean of the College of Business

His areas of expertise include organizational development and change management, human resources management, managing cultural diversity and inclusion, and strategic planning.  A particular focus of Dr. Wormley are HBCU’s and Community Colleges, where he spent a significant portion of his career.  He also has served as a management consultant at Bowie State to assist in the reaccreditation of the College of Business by ACBSP; to conduct a review of policies, practices and procedures, with a focus on continuous improvement; and to provide administrative guidance for the interim dean and assistant dean.

Dr. Wormley is the President of The Wormley Company, a general management consulting firm, established in 1994 and based in Philadelphia, PA. He has direct experience in workforce development and training through his work at Community College of Philadelphia, Bunker Hill Community College, and as Master Mentor for EQMentor, Inc. He also has extensive experience in the development and delivery of online content, with a specific focus on measurable learning outcomes and competencies, as a faculty member for University of Maryland University College (UMUC), Rowan University, Capella University, and Mountain State University. He has also been a trainer, facilitator, and subject matter expert in a variety of educational and workplace settings, and he understands the challenges of providing skills-based training with measurable outcomes, addressing the learning needs of adult learners, and remaining focused on the bottom line.

Dr. Wormley received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Amherst College (MA), magna cum laude, with a double major in Black Studies and Psychology.  He earned three graduate degrees from Stanford University (CA): an MBA from the Graduate School of Business, an M.A. in Education, and a Ph.D. in Administration and Policy Analysis in Higher Education, both from the School of Education.
