Richard A. Wueste has conducted more than 50 searches since joining AGB Search in 2012. His search work is informed by 25 years of experience as an executive in higher education. Recent searches include:

Dr. Wueste has served as president of Adams State University, an HSI in rural Colorado; Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Heritage University, an independent college and HSI located on the Yakama Indian Reservation in rural Washington State; Assistant Vice President for Administrative Services, and Treasurer of an auxiliary services corporation at SUNY-Stony Brook, a major research university outside New York City; and administrator for university services and human resources at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, an urban research university. His administrative career includes experience in strategic planning and organizational design; human resources; procurement; university advancement; student services and enrollment management; government, public and community relations; auxiliary services; financial services; and risk management.

During the course of his academic career, Dr. Wueste established the ethics program for the Harriman School of Business at SUNY-SB and developed and taught courses in ethics, law and leadership. He is co-author of the academic book, Human Resource Development in Changing Organizations.

Working as a management consultant, Dr. Wueste has served as President and CEO of three integrated consulting corporations engaged in economic development and educational enterprises in the US, China and southeast Asia.  Dr. Wueste also owns and operates an independent consulting practice, specializing in education and economic development. He publishes a blog (rawinsight.wordpress.com) and has been a contributor to newspapers and education publications.

Dr. Wueste led the team that created the Mount Adams Health Foundation to help provide for the health care needs of the working poor in rural Washington, serving as founding Chair and President. He has served on the boards of a number of other public service and professional organizations.

Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he has lived in Chicago, exurban New York City, Yakima, Washington, Alamosa, Colorado, and Winchester, Virginia. He is a graduate of Ripon College (WI) with a B.A. in Philosophy and Political Science, and the University of Chicago (Doctor of Law, J.D.).
