Sasa Leskovsek

Sasa Leskovsek is a Client Partner at Alexander Hughes Switzerland.

Sasa is a senior executive and advisor. He began his professional life spending few years as an academic at the University of Ljubljana before entering the pharmaceutical sector. He had executive roles in R&D at Lek Pharmaceuticals, PLIVA (TEVA), and Polpharma. He oversaw M&A operations in Hungary, Croatia, Russia, and Spain at this time.

He joined Sanofi in 2010 and served as Head Global Development in generic division for Europe, Asia, and Latin America.

Before joining Alexander Hughes, Sasa was a Chief Scientific Officer at Ethypharm in Paris and Rosemont Pharmaceuticals in Leeds.

In parallel with his corporate career, he established a medical center in Vilnius in 2013. As an advisor, he became also well connected with the private equity landscape with first-hand experience supporting investments, M&A in Pharma/Biotech, CRO&CDMO, APIs, CHC, and Nutrition areas.

Sasa Leskovsek holds an MSc in Engineering and a Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences from the University of Ljubljana. He graduated with an MBA (at IEDC Bled School of Management) in 2001.

He is fluent in Slovene, English and has a conversational level in German.
