Dave Schmidt

Dave Schmidt is a Consultant with Alexander Hughes USA, based in their Chicago office.

Dave brings over 10 years of experience in higher education and nonprofit work, working with programs and stakeholders based across the U.S. and Europe, to his career in executive search. In addition to his current work with Alexander Hughes, he has previously worked in the industrial practice of a global executive search firm and for a boutique firm focused on trade associations and nonprofits.

He has a bachelor’s degree in Spanish literature and political science from Duke University and an MBA with a focus on Supply Chain Management from Loyola University Chicago. He is also a graduate of the Second City Training Center’s Musical Improvisation Conservatory.

Dave is fluent in English and Spanish, and has working knowledge of German and Portuguese.

Dave volunteers with the Duke Alumni Association in Chicago and with Chicago Public Schools, and organizes his neighborhood’s annual block party.
