Human Capital Solutions Joins Forces With Clear Concepts
August 10, 2016 – Executive search firm Human Capital Solutions, Inc. has acquired Clear Concepts, an international industrial and technology executive search firm. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
For more than 20 years, Clear Concepts has provided executive search services for the aviation, aerospace, automotive, consumer electronics and technology sectors. The firm is led by president and chief executive officer Tom Cleary, who will join Human Capital Solutions as a managing director.
Mr. Cleary formed and led the firm’s aviation, aerospace, automotive and electronic manufacturing services and original design manufacturing practices. In this role, he focused on placing executives in engineering, operations, research & development, information technology, supply chain, and high level commercial roles along with key finance and human resource positions.
His clientele includes Fortune 100 organizations as well as smaller, fast-growing technology companies in both the commercial and government markets. These include aerospace / defense products, and consumer electronics (encompassing mechanical, electronic hardware, software / embedded S/W, plastic molded and metal assemblies).

Mr. Cleary is accomplished in medical device, smart fabric for technology, autonomous systems and robotics for the automotive industry. His placements include all professional and executive functions within the manufacturing and corporate structure.
Early in his career, Mr. Cleary held several positions with aerospace machine shops as a machinist, CNC programmer and operations manager. He later moved into engineering and manufacturing management, gaining additional expertise in plastic molding and tooling for engineered polymers, machined metal components and electro-mechanical products in the aerospace and defense sector. This included assignments in New York, California and the U.K. Later, he was hired as a turnaround leader for an aerospace connector and relay manufacturer with facilities in New Jersey and Connecticut.
Mr. Cleary and Clear Concepts have operated in Raleigh, NC with regional hubs in Los Angeles, Portland and Long Island prior to moving its headquarters to Wilmington, NC in 2005.
