Gilbert Tweed Joins Friisberg & Partners International

December 13, 2018 – Friisberg & Partners International has added Gilbert Tweed International in New York City as its newest member firm.

“This is a big step forward,” said founder Janet Tweed. “We are delighted with this arrangement. It is a clear statement of intent, that we are determined to offer our clients the same level of commitment and results in Europe as they already get in the U.S. — and, of course, the same is true for Friisberg’s European clients here in the U.S. too.” Gilbert Tweed has offices along the East Coast, from Boston to Palm Beach.

The firm specializes in recruiting C-suite executives in the consumer, pharmaceutical, financial services, technology, industrial and energy markets.

“It was clear to the leadership of both Friisberg and Gilbert Tweed that together synergies could be readily found, and mutual advantage realized,” Friisberg & Partners said. “The combination of both firms works to the benefit of customers. The new collaboration can guarantee truly worldwide reach and inclusion in the market for C-suite and executive appointments.”

Ms. Tweed came into the search business as founder of Gilbert Tweed International 30 years ago. With broad entrepreneurial experience in the international and local financial market place, Ms. Tweed established a strong record of providing her clients with high-quality executive search services and related consultant support. She has extensive experience and vast knowledge of financial services. Her international experience extends to London, Europe and India. Her practice focuses on capital markets, investment banking, private equity, restructuring and merger and acquisitions in all of the key sectors.

Globalization has been the primary driver behind business investment for many years, said Peter Standberg, chairman of Friisberg. “In what is now a world economy, where corporates increasingly compete for internationally experienced leadership, there can be no reason and no excuses for dislocations between one geographical market and the rest,” he said. “With consistent and high-quality search now possible across four continents Friisberg, with Gilbert Tweed as a partner, offers our clients access to the executives they need to succeed, wherever they are.”
