Direct Recruiters Names Partners

February 21, 2019 – Solon, OH-based Direct Recruiters, Inc. (DRI), Executive Search, has appointed Cherie Shepard, Jason Herbert and Norm Volsky as partners. The search firm said that all three have “demonstrated leadership, dedication, integrity and a standard of excellence within the search industry.”

“Speaking on behalf of the existing partners, we are thrilled to congratulate Cherie, Jason and Norm,” said David Peterson, managing partner. “All three exemplify our four core values and demonstrate leadership to our team each day. Their expertise and dedication to the industry will continue to drive the DRI team towards long-term success.”

Ms. Shepard began at DRI over 10 years ago and currently directs the packaging, processing and material handling teams. DRI said that she is known for her ability to quickly comprehend clients’ unique needs and identify high caliber talent in her industry. Ms. Shepard also demonstrates leadership qualities and serves as a positive role model for women in business, the firm said. She founded the Direct Companies’ women’s group to support women in professional development, wellness, philanthropy, and more.

For over 14 years, Mr. Herbert has been building lasting client and candidate relationships with professionals in the packaging, processing and material handling industries. He has a reputation for his commitment to partnering with organizations to fill executive and professional positions including sales, marketing and engineering. In 2016, he was named DRI’s “Recruiter of the Year,” a prestigious award for the top producer in the firm.

Mr. Volsky joined DRI first as an intern in 2011. As practice leader of digital health, his main objective is to complete each search successfully while providing a positive experience for both clients and candidates in the healthcare IT industry. “He consistently leads by example and is an excellent mentor to newer team members,” the firm said. “Norm’s exceptional communication and leadership skills will serve him in his new role as partner at DRI.”

Ms. Rosner combines over 24 years as an attorney, 15 years as a career coach and seven years of recruiting experience, bringing a comprehensive skill-set to the legal recruiting market.

Retention Guarantee

DRI backs up its executive searches with a retention guarantee of its placements for one to two years. Direct Retention, as the firm calls its new product offering, revolves around a thorough evaluation of candidates by DRI as well as expert independent partners.

DRI’s Direct Retention product involves a team approach that is said to be thorough and well integrated. It starts with a client company having an initial consultation call with each of the firm’s consultants. “From there, together we come up with a candidate profile to include cultural fit, a proper compensation plan and parameters around a relocation package,” said Mr. Charney. “We also can include our law firm partner early in the process to come up with a strategy if we feel it is likely the selected candidate has some type of restrictive covenant.”

DRI also has a partnership with PRADCO, a talent assessment, development and management company. “With the ongoing data-driven environment we are experiencing, our partnership with PRADCO assists us in our goal of providing customized solutions that help our clients hire top talent for mission-critical positions,” said Mr. Charney. “PRADCO set themselves apart from their competitors because they share in our belief that talent acquisition is not a one-size-fits-all proposition.”
